OrionM2M® to take part in CES 2018 in Las Vegas
A company from Kazakhstan will take part in CES 2018, the world’s largest technology show, for the first time.
On 9–12 January 2018 Las Vegas hosts the 51st International Consumer Electronics Show, the first major exhibition of the year, the leading one in the USA and one of the leading ones in the world. The event takes place at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. About 4,000 exhibitors will take part, presenting thousands of new products and solutions for various industries. The show is organised by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), which unites more than 2,000 companies and represents a 292 billion dollar technology industry. Many well-known brands prepare new devices specifically for a January announcement, and this is where global manufacturers show their most advanced technology.
The importance of the show comes from the number of global companies taking part, such as Intel, Microsoft, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung and Sony, and from the number of visitors. The first show took place in New York in 1967, with 200 exhibitors. Since then it has grown 15-fold.
Orion System (Kazakhstan) takes part in the show for the first time, as one of eight sponsors among the members of the LoRa Alliance®. The stand will show the latest wireless data transmission equipment for LoRaWAN®, designed for building easily scalable, versatile and energy-efficient wireless IoT networks.
Together with other members of the alliance, Orion System will present new Smart City solutions that change the approach to familiar things such as street lighting and utilities. The company’s experts will advise visitors of the LoRa Alliance® stand on wireless data transmission equipment for LoRaWAN® IoT networks, explain the features and advantages of wireless data transmission systems and present the full range of the company’s equipment.
This is the first time a company from Kazakhstan takes part in an event of this level and scale, which makes it an important step for promoting IoT technology in the Republic of Kazakhstan and for making the OrionM2M® brand known worldwide.
