OrionM2M® takes 1st place in the Astana Hub rating of high-tech startups 2020
The rating of the best IT startups is an annual national list of the best IT startups in Kazakhstan that develop innovative technology products and services and solve important market problems. The rating identifies successful players among the country’s IT startups, encourages IT entrepreneurship and shows the direction of innovation in Kazakhstan.
The best startups of the rating:
- OrionM2M®: IoT devices and software for energy-efficient LoRaWAN® networks;
- Cerebra: a system that uses artificial intelligence to detect the severity of a stroke at an early stage from CT scans;
- Citix: an intelligent transport information and navigation system for a comfortable stay in the city;
- Clockster: HR for micro, small and medium businesses that helps to improve discipline, reduce lost profit, automate work schedules and improve internal communication;
- OKOO: an online education platform for schools that helps teachers run computer science lessons and makes learning interesting for children;
- Campeat: an AI-based marketing platform for businesses that attracts traffic in off-peak hours and increases in-store sales;
- i-GUARD: a new-generation video analytics solution that analyses space and detects emergencies in real time;
- Supermomsclub.app: a mobile app for pregnant women that helps to reduce the risks of infant mortality;
- QuantDART: a regulated, secure and innovative digital asset management platform in Eurasia;
- Paloma365: a cloud service for automating control, sales and stock accounting in catering, retail and services.
The jury consisted of well-known IT entrepreneurs, venture investors and business angels: Olga Afanasyeva (UVCA), Murat Abdrakhmanov, Anuar Seifullin (Quest Ventures), Sanzhar Suleimanov (Tech Garden Ventures), Artashes Grigoryan (Centras Ventures), Mirat Akhmetsadykov (MOST Ventures), Serik Shakarim (Seedstars Kazakhstan), Taras Volobuev (AIFC Fintech) and Dias Kazhakhmetov (QazTech Ventures).
Startups in the rating get the chance to present their project in Kazakhstan and abroad, to become part of the Astana Hub community and to get access to more than 100 investors. The top 10 startups receive individual mentoring on raising investment from Seedstars Kazakhstan and a selective invitation to the investment day.
In addition, OrionM2M®, Cerebra and Citix receive special gifts from the partners and organisers.
